Timothy Homstad is the Director of Security and Compliance at Clearwater, bringing Clearwater customers more than 16 years of experience managing compliance, audit, cybersecurity, and data privacy risks for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies. Homstad is experienced across multiple industries, including manufacturing, government, healthcare, engineering, banking, retail, financial services, and higher education. He’s been at Clearwater for more than eight years, providing business leadership, strategic initiatives planning, new services development, managing multiple delivery teams, and providing consulting partnerships to dozens of clients. He’s an expert in a number of compliance frameworks, including NIST-800-53, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST-171, NIST-800-63, COBIT, SOC 2, and Sarbanes-Oxley. He also specializes in access/identity management, operations security, cryptography controls, governance, physical security, third-party risk management, incident management, business continuity, data retention, and logging/monitoring controls. He provides industry support and advocacy across organizations like the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC^2), and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
